LiaV allows you to submit a video of your playing and receive a personalized video lesson in return. Using your performance as a starting point, I create a detailed video response that explores technical, musical, and practice-related ideas designed to help you move toward your goals.
Unlike a traditional lesson, your LiaV can be watched as many times as you wish, allowing you to revisit demonstrations, explanations, and suggestions whenever you need them.
Over the years I’ve found that students often need time to absorb new ideas. In a traditional lesson, important details can be forgotten once the lesson ends. LiaV allows students to revisit demonstrations, explanations, and practice suggestions whenever they need them.

The Process
Step 1: Contact Me
Tell me a little about yourself, your violin background, and the piece or challenge you would like to explore.
Step 2: Submit Your Video
After reviewing your information, I’ll determine whether LiaV is a good fit for your goals. If so, you’ll receive instructions for submitting your video.
Step 3: Receive Your Lesson in a Video
Using your performance as a foundation, I’ll create a personalized video lesson that explores various possibilities for helping you achieve your goals. Your completed Lesson in a Video will normally be available approximately seven days after your video submission.
Video Submission Guidelines
- Maximum length: 11 minutes.
- Both hands, the violin, and the entire bow should remain visible on screen.
- Please provide the best audio quality possible.
- Video resolution should be 1080p when possible (720p minimum).
